Bob Boyd is a cum laude Princeton graduate, a Stephen Minister, and elected Lay Leader of his church. Drawing on personal experience and related Biblical references, he offers the reader an opportunity to reflect on God's guidelines for overcoming some of the most difficult problems that we face as part of the human experience.  Whether you are looking for a cover-to-cover read, or a resource in times of need, this work is an outstanding wellspring of inspiration and comfort

My wife Heather has been a valuable editor and sounding board, and her assistance has been invaluable throughout the development of this work.  My son Adam, currently serving as a missionary and Bible translator for the Enga people in Papua New Guinea, provided early guidance and constructive support as I developed the concept for this project.

Janet Ruckel is an inspired teacher whom I have known through our journey together studying the Bible through the various Disciple classes.  Without her friendship and mentoring, I doubt that I would have ever begun this book.  Linda Huffman was my instructor and leader throughout the intense Stephen Minister  training during which we studied and discussed those who are fearful, lonely, discouraged, grieving, angry, etc.  It was during this training period that the initial seed of an idea was formed which ultimately matured into this work.  Reverend David Streets, my minister and friend, provided a much appreciated broad based and conceptual perspective, as well as very specific editorial input which greatly improved the richness of the message.

I thank each of them from the bottom of my heart!I
