At times we sadly wonder, "What's wrong with me? If God truly wants me to be happy, what am I missing? Should it really be so difficult to be happy?"  If you find yourself struggling with these questions, look to this work for inspiration.  It is a compelling guide

based on Mr. Boyd's personal experiences and writings from the real, struggling authors of the Bible for the real struggles we face

today.  Ann Bender, PhD, Licensed Psychologist, Pittsburgh, PA

Does God want us to love life or hate it?  Find life or lose it? Sacrifice life or fulfill it?  We all ask those questions at one time or another.  Bob Boyd has wrestled thoroughly with these issues in this work.  As a Christian you wil find Bob's book very helpful in navigating through life's journey. You may not learn what you wanted to learn, but you will receive what you need to receive.

In this compelling account of the author's search for meaning, amidst the travails of life, he addresses the questions through an

exhaustive search of Scripture.  His answers serve as both guide and motivation to other Christians who join him in this quest.

*****An Excellent Book......April 12, 2015, Ginny Kelly

This is an excellent book. We (husband and I) especially enjoyed it during the Lenten season. But the story lines about the author's life would flow through a lifetime of seasons. Thoughtful Biblical writings between were the perfect lessons regarding each phase of life. The book is well written and carries you quickly through the various emotions and feelings that we all endure. Pretty sure God wants us to be happy and this is a guide to that end.  Ginny Kelly, April 12, 2015

*****Inspiring....... April 6, 2015, AWP

I came across this book at exactly the right time.....I had a lot of things going on in my life that were confusing and making me question my purpose and my goals. The thing that I loved about this book was that the author equated real circumstances and real problems to meaningful Bible passages. In this book, I discovered that during the biggest losses and the biggest challenges , which we all have, is the most critical time to remember that God IS always there for us. It may not always be the answers that I was hoping for but somehow God shows us His way. This book gave me inspiration and clarity in accepting that life is not always perfect or neat or clear but that I am not alone. I give this book 5 stars and I would recommend to anyone who wants a practical guide to learning how specific Bible passages to help us understand why things happen the way they do.

This book is a great reminder of what it is that obscures a happy life and  how to wrangle to get that hard to find happiness. This would be a really good book for a discussion group. The authors life examples really layer the message home.  Read and reread this booK.
